I designed the Adirondack House Plan as a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath mountain home that puts 2,850 square feet across two stories on a sloping lot with no garage to eat up your footprint. If you want vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, open living, and a walkout lower level with a game room, this is the plan I would build on my own mountain lot.
The main level holds 1,570 square feet with a vaulted great room and vaulted master bedroom that give the primary living spaces the volume they deserve. An open living floor plan connects kitchen, dining, and family room naturally, and a stone fireplace anchors the design. Nine-foot ceilings in the standard rooms keep everything feeling proportioned. The lower level adds 1,280 square feet with a game room, storage, laundry room, and full natural light from the walkout design.
Outside, a vaulted screened porch, open deck, grill deck, and lower porch or patio give you outdoor living on every level. At 54 feet 8 inches wide by 48 feet deep on a sloping lake or mountain lot, this plan takes full advantage of grade changes without an oversized footprint. The optional garage keeps the design flexible. This is a mountain home with the feel of a lodge and the livability of a family home.
The Adirondack House Plan plan is available for $1,495. Similar mountain designs include Wolf Creek, Stonegate, River’s Reach, and Camp Stone.

Builder Insight
I designed the Adirondack House Plan for the kind of site most house plans treat as a problem — a lot with real grade change. The walkout lower level, deep covered porches, and vertical massing are all intentional. Slope is an asset in the right design. This plan uses it.
