How I designed this plan.
I designed The Vista as a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath small cabin that delivers 1,380 square feet across two stories in a package just 32 feet 4 inches wide. If you have a small, narrow, or lake lot and want a cabin with vaulted ceilings and a view from the bedroom window that opens to the living room below, this plan delivers something truly special.
The main floor holds 896 square feet with a vaulted living room that makes the open layout feel expansive. Nine-foot ceilings keep the standard areas proportioned, and the flow from kitchen to dining to living is seamless. Dedicated lake storage keeps your gear organized and out of sight.
Upstairs, 484 square feet adds two bedrooms, including one with a window that opens to the living space below, connecting the upper and lower levels in a way that adds drama and keeps the whole cabin feeling unified. A covered or open gazebo extends your outdoor living, and an open deck gives you space to sit and enjoy the view.
At just 32 feet 4 inches wide by 48 feet deep with no garage, The Vista fits narrow and small lots that most plans cannot touch. The compact footprint keeps construction costs low and the build timeline fast. It is the kind of cabin that surprises everyone with how well it lives. The Vista plan is available for $1,495.

What is included in the The Vista plan set?+
Each plan set includes dimensioned floor plans for all levels, front, side, and rear elevations at 1/4" scale with notes and dimensions, a foundation plan for the version supplied, and roof plan. Additional foundation options are available separately and are not included in the plan price. Please inquire before ordering to confirm whether we have the version you need. Available as a PDF plan set ($1,495) or editable CAD files ($1,950). Electrical plans are not included because they are customer-specific and finalized on site with your builder and electrician after framing.
Can the The Vista plan be modified?+
Yes. Modifications are one of the most common services we provide. Our in-house design team handles all modifications directly. Common changes include adjusting bedroom count, resizing rooms, changing exterior materials, or adapting for a specific lot. Typical turnaround is 2 to 4 weeks. Does the The Vista plan require a structural engineer's stamp?+
Stock plans do not include a professional engineer's stamp. Many US jurisdictions require a licensed engineer in your state to review and stamp the plans before permit submission. Check with your local building department before purchasing. This is a standard industry practice and is not unique to Max Fulbright Designs.
Who designed the The Vista plan?+
The The Vista plan was drawn personally by Max Fulbright Sr., the founder of Max Fulbright Designs. Max is a Georgia Institute of Technology-trained engineer who has designed and personally built more than 500 custom homes since founding the firm in 1990. Every plan in the Max Fulbright Designs catalog is drawn by Max himself.
