I designed the Asheville Mountain as a 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath mountain home that delivers 2,618 square feet across three stories with an optional garage and a vaulted great room that defines the entire living experience. This is the plan that started the Appalachia series, and it remains one of the most versatile mountain and lake designs in the catalog.
The main level holds 1,760 square feet with a vaulted great room that soars to the roofline and sets the tone for the whole home. Nine-foot ceilings in the standard rooms keep the proportions balanced while the vaulted spaces add drama. The open living layout connects kitchen, dining, and family room seamlessly. A golf cart garage tucks into the design for communities where cart access matters. Upstairs, 858 square feet adds a bedroom and loft. The unfinished lower level is ready for recreation, bedrooms, and storage whenever you need it.
A front porch and open rear porch with gazebo give you outdoor living on both sides of the home. At 59 feet wide by 60 feet deep on sloping, lake, or mountain lots, this plan fits the kind of terrain that defines the best building sites. The optional garage keeps the plan flexible, and the three-story design means every level can be customized to your needs. This is the mountain home that works for everyone.
The Asheville Mountain plan is available for $1,495. For the full Appalachia series and similar plans, see Asheville Mountain Garage, Appalachia Mountain II, Appalachian Mountain III, and Appalachia Mountain.

Builder Insight
I designed the Asheville Mountain for the kind of site most house plans treat as a problem — a lot with real grade change. The walkout lower level, deep covered porches, and vertical massing are all intentional. Slope is an asset in the right design. This plan uses it.
