Asheville Cottage is a 5-bedroom, 5.5-bath mountain home that delivers 2,401 square feet across three stories with a 2-car garage and an optional walkout basement that expands the home even further. I designed this plan for the buyer who needs serious bedroom count without an oversized main floor footprint.
The main level holds 1,570 square feet with a vaulted living room that anchors the open layout. Nine-foot ceilings keep the standard rooms feeling proportioned while the vaulted spaces soar. A mud room catches the mess at the entry, and the layout flows naturally through living, dining, and kitchen. Upstairs, 831 square feet adds bedrooms and a loft open to the floor below, connecting both levels visually. The optional lower level at 1,570 square feet holds a bunk room, additional storage, and the 2-car garage, making the most of sloped mountain and lake lots.
A patio and covered porch give you outdoor space on both levels. At 86 feet 6 inches wide by 72 feet 8 inches deep, this is a generously sized plan that fits lake, mountain, and sloped lots. Five bedrooms and five and a half baths make this plan ideal for large families, vacation rentals, or homes that host often. It is a mountain cottage with the capacity of a lodge.
The Asheville Cottage plan is available for $1,495. For similar large mountain homes, see Baker Lake Cottage, Camp Stone, Banning Mills Lodge, and Asheville Mountain.

Builder Insight
I designed the Asheville Cottage the way I approach every plan — starting with how a family actually lives in a home, not with the exterior style. Open flow where it matters, private space where it's needed, and no wasted square footage. That's 25 years of building experience in every dimension.
