The Mountain Moss Cabin is a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath cabin that squeezes 1,254 square feet of living into three stories on a footprint built for small, sloping, and narrow lots. I designed this plan for the buyer who wants a real cabin on a challenging site without giving up bedrooms or outdoor living space.
The main floor gives you 927 square feet centered on an open living area with a vaulted great room and stone fireplace that make this compact cabin feel twice its size. The first-floor master bedroom keeps your primary suite where it is most convenient, and nine-foot ceilings throughout maintain a sense of openness. Upstairs, a bunk room and 327 square feet of additional living give kids or guests their own floor.
The unfinished lower level is ready for a recreation room whenever you need it. Outside is where this cabin truly comes alive. A covered porch, vaulted screened porch, screened dining area, grill deck, and covered patio give you more outdoor living options than most homes twice this size.
At 50 feet 8 inches wide by 41 feet 4 inches deep with no garage, the Mountain Moss Cabin tucks onto small and narrow lots that bigger plans cannot touch. Each plan set includes dimensioned floor plans for all levels, front, side, and rear elevations at 1/4" scale with notes and dimensions, foundation plan (basement standard; slab and crawlspace available for an additional fee), and roof plan. Available as a PDF plan set ($1,495) or editable CAD files ($1,950). Electrical plans are not included because they are customer-specific and finalized on site with your builder and electrician after framing.
Can the Mountain Moss Cabin plan be modified?+
