How I designed this plan.
Stonegate is a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath craftsman mountain home that delivers 2,703 square feet across two stories with a 3-car garage and outdoor living that totals 785 square feet. I designed this plan for sloping lots where you want a vaulted first-floor master, open living, a stone fireplace, and a loft that overlooks the main living space.
The main floor holds 1,890 square feet with a vaulted family room and vaulted master bedroom that give the primary spaces the ceiling height they deserve. A stone fireplace anchors the living area, and the open living layout connects kitchen, breakfast room, dining, and family room naturally. Nine-foot ceilings in the standard rooms keep everything comfortable. Upstairs, 813 square feet holds a bedroom, loft, and access to the views.
The unfinished lower level is ready for a recreation room, game room, and storage whenever you need it. An open deck, screened porch, and front porch give you 785 square feet of covered and open outdoor living. At 72 feet 2 inches wide by 53 feet 4 inches deep on a sloping lot, this plan commands its site with a generous footprint. The 3-car garage handles vehicles, boats, and all the gear that mountain living demands.

What is included in the Stonegate plan set?+
Each plan set includes dimensioned floor plans for all levels, front, side, and rear elevations at 1/4" scale with notes and dimensions, a foundation plan for the version supplied, and roof plan. Additional foundation options are available separately and are not included in the plan price. Please inquire before ordering to confirm whether we have the version you need. Available as a PDF plan set ($1,495) or editable CAD files ($1,950). Electrical plans are not included because they are customer-specific and finalized on site with your builder and electrician after framing.
Can the Stonegate plan be modified?+
Yes. Modifications are one of the most common services we provide. Our in-house design team handles all modifications directly. Common changes include adjusting bedroom count, resizing rooms, changing exterior materials, or adapting for a specific lot. Typical turnaround is 2 to 4 weeks. Does the Stonegate plan require a structural engineer's stamp?+
Stock plans do not include a professional engineer's stamp. Many US jurisdictions require a licensed engineer in your state to review and stamp the plans before permit submission. Check with your local building department before purchasing. This is a standard industry practice and is not unique to Max Fulbright Designs.
Who designed the Stonegate plan?+
The Stonegate plan was drawn personally by Max Fulbright Sr., the founder of Max Fulbright Designs. Max is a Georgia Institute of Technology-trained engineer who has designed and personally built more than 500 custom homes since founding the firm in 1990. Every plan in the Max Fulbright Designs catalog is drawn by Max himself.
