I designed the Olde Stone Cottage as a two-story cottage house plan with a walkout basement for the sloping lots that other plans give up on. With 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and 2,812 square feet spread across two fully finished levels, this is a plan that turns a challenging site into a serious home.
The main floor holds 1,562 square feet with vaulted ceilings in the family room and master suite, a double-sided stone fireplace that faces both living areas, and a main-level master bedroom that keeps the primary suite away from the stairs. The open living layout flows naturally from kitchen through dining into the living room, and the front porch, rear porch, and screened porch give you covered outdoor options in every direction. The grill deck and patio complete an outdoor living setup that most homes cannot match.
Downstairs, 1,250 square feet of walkout basement opens up a recreation room and storage space that gets full natural light on a sloping lot. A 3-car garage tucks into the lower level, taking full advantage of the grade change. At 69-foot-10-inch by 54-foot-8-inch, this plan needs a proper lot, but on the right sloping site it is one of the most versatile designs in the catalog.
The Olde Stone Cottage plan is available for $1,495. For more walkout and mountain designs, see Asheville Mountain, Butler’s Mill, River’s Reach, and Stonegate.

Builder Insight
I designed the Olde Stone Cottage the way I approach every plan — starting with how a family actually lives in a home, not with the exterior style. Open flow where it matters, private space where it's needed, and no wasted square footage. That's 25 years of building experience in every dimension.
